I saw the reviews of this place before I decided to go. Most were of complaints about the owners english, which honestly has no bearing on his abilities to fix a shoe. Unfortunately though, his professionalism was not only lacking it was disrespectful. On Saturday, After providing me with a total cost of repairs he told me I had to pay upfront. Which I was fine with. It was the fact that the Asian woman after me was told that she didnt have to pay up front, only after services had been rendered. I should have taken my business elsewhere but wanted to give him a chance. Perhaps my perspective was wrong. So I let him keep the shoes. He told me to return on Tuesday, which I did at 12 noon. I gave the older lady my green ticket and he came out to say the shoes werent ready. Come back in 2 hrs. So I returned at 2pm and was told again not ready. 30 min more. Upon walking to my car to wait I saw that my shoes were sitting outside on his window sill drying. I didnt like the fact that anyone walking by could have walked away with my shoes and he would never have known until it was too late. When I returned, he tried to explain that he couldnt shine the blue shoes. Paint go away. Which I see some of the color of the blue leather had been removed to show black streaks underneath. I also asked for the black pair to be shined and resoled. But the shine is barely visible and mostly only on the tips and the back of the shoe. I can visibly see where theres shine on the sides from where his fingers held my shoes but no other attempt at a complete shoe shine otherwise. Theres patches of shine and dullness all over the black pair. He did what looks like a good job to the bottom of my black shoes. I dont think I will be slipping anymore on a wet sidewalk. But I am certainly going to have to take these shoes to another store to be properly shined and perhaps even have the leather restained for the blue ones. I honestly wanted to give this man every opportunity but it simply is a shame to be treated with disrespect and receive poor quality work. UPDATE: I wore the resoled shoes for the first time today. They are uneven and caused me to limp. So I will be adding resole to my list of corrections to a new repair shop.

Don't be put off by low star rating. The man doesn't speak really clearly; people get turned off. But he does great work. And it's cheap. He saw me getting my handicap stroller out of the car, came out of the store, said to stay there, and brought me the keys and change. That was really thoughtful.
